• Hands on armrests or thighs; elbows near the body. Avoid holding the edge/rail while moving.
• Feet on the footrest, knees slightly bent, toes up.
• Maintain 5–10 cm clearance near walls; slow down if needed.
• Before entry, offset angle by 10–15° or engage the swivel lock.
• Use anti-slip/buffer pads on the deck if edges are rounded/slippery.
• Caregiver stays beside the user and monitors limb positions.

In narrow pools, descend slightly first, then rotate in the water to keep safe clearance.

Depending on model and user weight, a full cycle usually takes 30–60 seconds.

• Down: hold until the seat is level with the water and buoyancy supports the body; then release.
• Up: hold until the seat is level with the deck/wheelchair; then release.
• Avoid holding at end-of-stroke; pause 1–2 seconds before reversing to protect the motor.

Some models are hold-to-run; others are one-press (press to start, press to stop).

Ensure user safety first, then resolve the issue:

1. Press the emergency stop (red mushroom) immediately.
2. Stay with the user; keep head and airway above water, or lock/secure the seat if out of water.
3. Check for obstruction, low charge, active swivel lock, or fault codes.
4. Reset by twisting/pulling the E-stop (model-dependent), then continue at low speed.
5. If electrical/battery faults persist, use manual lowering/release per the manual.
6. Call support if unresolved; never bypass safety features.

Prevention: check charge, locks, and travel path before each use.

Recommended depth at the landing point is typically 90–120 cm for a smooth, safe descent. Exact depth depends on user height, swimming ability, and purpose (leisure/therapy).

• Rehab/hydrotherapy: usually 90–110 cm for semi-immersion balance training.
• Seniors/low balance: shallower depth (~1 m) for confidence.
• Children: only with close supervision and depths less than their height.
• Safety: keep the entry zone free of sharp edges and ensure 50–70 cm of clear space ahead.

Do a slow test descent and stop where feet make comfortable contact; then fine-tune.

Most pool lifts have a wired/wireless hand control allowing independent use; however, caregiver presence is recommended for safety.

• Solo use is OK if: the user is alert, not dizzy, can sit stably, and can use the control.
• Prefer caregiver nearby if: it’s among the first uses, there’s a history of seizures/fainting, low hand strength/balance, or a crowded environment.
• Always fasten the safety belt, hold the armrests, and clear the path before moving.

Even for independent use, keep a caregiver within arm’s length for immediate help.

A short but regular cleaning routine extends lifespan and prevents corrosion. Suggested 2–3 minute routine:

1. Fresh-water rinse (30–60 s) over the seat, armrests, boom, and metal parts in contact with water.
2. If needed, wipe with a mild, non-corrosive suds solution; avoid bleach/acids.
3. Avoid spraying electrical/connectors directly; use a damp cloth.
4. Dry with microfiber, especially bolts, joints, and handles.
5. Monthly, protect O-rings/seals with a light silicone spray (if permitted by the manual).
6. For outdoor units, use a protective cover after drying.

Do a weekly visual check for scale/light rust and clean early if observed.
